Credly
Issue a Credly badge when a learner completes a credit.
Digital badges give learners something to show for a completion beyond a PDF — a verifiable credential they can post to LinkedIn or attach to a profile. Credly badges are issued automatically when the credit is claimed.
Connecting Credly
Go to Organization Settings → Accreditations and add an accreditation of type Credly.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Authorization Token | The API token from your Credly integration |
| Environment | Production or Test |
| Organization ID | The Credly organization that issues the badges |
Your token stays current on its own
Credly authorization tokens expire, and LecturePanda rotates yours well before that happens — so a working badge connection keeps working without anyone diarising a renewal. The configuration screen shows the current expiry date whenever you want to check it.
Issuing a badge from a credit
Attach the Credly accreditation to a credit, then pick the badge template to issue. The field searches your Credly organization's templates, so you're choosing from badges you've already designed rather than entering an ID.
When a learner claims that credit, the badge is issued to them. Nothing else is required from you or from them.
Badges alongside credit
A badge doesn't replace a credit or a certificate — it sits with them. A credit can report to an accreditor and issue a badge, so a learner finishes with the CE on file, a certificate to download, and a badge to share.
