This page describes the classic pages

In the new course builder the same details live on Course Details (title, description, time zone, speakers) and on each module's settings page under Course Content (setting, dates, place, webinar, check-in) — see Course Modules. Registration types and additional questions are on Registration › Form, topics on Publication › Catalogs, and the two checkboxes at the bottom on Registration › Experience.

Try the new version, at the bottom of a course's menu (or the same entry in your user menu, top right), switches you — just you — to the course builder. Use the classic pages, in the same spot, brings you back here at any time; your courses are unchanged either way. See The Course Builder.

details

  • Lecture Title

The lecture title identifies the lecture and is used in confirmation emails and registration forms.

  • Setting

State whether the lecture is Home, Live or Mixed.

    • Home: Your participants can complete the lecture on their own timeline.
    • Live: Your presenter will be interacting with your participants in real-time.
    • Mixed: A live event that also has home study. LecturePanda treats Mixed the same as Live — it keeps its dates, place, webinar and check-in.
  • Select Registration Types

Select the participant types that will be allowed to register and participate in this lecture.

    INFO

Registration Types can be managed here.

  • Start Date

This field’s meaning is tied to the selection under Setting.

    • Live: The start time of the live portion.
    • Home: The release date of the lecture.
  • End Date

This field’s meaning is tied to the selection under Setting.

    • Live: The end time of the live portion.
    • Home: The expiration date of the lecture.

    INFO

Both labels carry the current time zone — Start Date (EDT) — so you can see which clock you are entering times against.

  • Time Zone

Dates and times will always be displayed to participants in their local time zone.

  • Location Address

Optional. The physical address where the lecture will be held. Reminder emails and the lecture announcement will contain a link that directs participants to this address via Google Maps.

  • Location (Room)

Optional. The physical room(s) where your lecture will be held.

  • Conference Line

Optional. The phone number that participants can dial to listen to the lecture. This number is included in the lecture announcement.

  • Webinar Link

Optional. The webinar link that participants use to join the online lecture. This field and Webinar Password disappear once a webinar is linked in the panel below — participants then receive their own join link.

  • Webinar Password

Optional. Include a password that participants must enter to join the online webinar.

  • Webinar (panel)

Optional. Until you have connected a webinar service the panel only says so and links to Webinar Integration. Once one is connected:

    • Link a webinar opens Link an Existing Webinar: pick the Webinar service, then choose one of your upcoming webinars from the list — or use Or enter the webinar ID — and click Link Webinar.
    • Create in <service> makes a new webinar from the lecture's saved title, start and end, and keeps it in step when you change the dates here. With more than one service connected the button reads Create a webinar and lets you pick. Until the dates are saved it is replaced by the note Save the lecture's start and end dates to create a webinar from them.
    • Unlink detaches the webinar, leaving the webinar itself alone in the service; participants are no longer registered into it.
    • Sync now appears only when LecturePanda could not update a webinar it created; it sends the current details again.

None of these buttons is part of Save — creating uses the details as last saved, so save any date changes first.

  • Additional Registration Questions

Optional. Include additional questions that will be asked of all registrants of this lecture. Any additional questions will be REQUIRED for all participants.

    INFO

Any additional questions using a dropdown field can also be used to determine pricing.

    Need an optional question instead?

Questions added here are required of everyone, with no toggle. To ask something optionally, attach it to a Registration Type instead — there, Additional Registration Fields decides what is asked and Required Fields decides what must be answered, so a question can be offered without being mandatory.

  • Select Topics

Define the topics addressed by this lecture. Select all that apply.

    INFO

Topics are used to help participants and the Marketplace filter lectures by the type of content included.

  • Select Check-in Process

Optional. When activated, a barcode will be included in the emails sent to participants. When a participant arrives, a staff member can scan this barcode on the lecture check-in page (Lecture Tools > Check-In Page) to mark the participant as present and view the participant’s profile.

    • Check-in Disabled (Default): Participants are not sent a scan-in barcode.
    • Check-in Active: Participants will receive a barcode but are NOT REQUIRED to scan-in. Participants will not be prevented from receiving lecture credit if they did not scan in.
    • Check-in Required: Participants will receive a barcode and are REQUIRED to scan-in. Participants will be locked out from receiving lecture credit unless they have been scanned in.
  • Additional Info

Optional. Add additional information to the lecture description. Information entered here will be visible on the Announcement Page.

  • Description of Fees — now the Fee Description section at the bottom of the Payments tab.

  • Hide Next Lectures

Hides the list of courses that this one is a prerequisite for, which participants would otherwise see on their completion step.

  • Disable Follow-Up Reminder Emails

Stops the automatic weekly reminders for registrants of this lecture. Useful for a live webinar where no-shows can't complete the course after the event has ended, and there's no point nudging them for two months. See Emails LecturePanda Sends.

Courses with more than one module

The classic pages treat a course as a single unit. If a course has had modules added in the course builder, the setting, dates, place, webinar and Select Check-in Process on this tab are those of its first module only — the one at the top of the Course Outline, whatever it is named. Everything else on this tab belongs to the course. The other modules are edited from the course builder, and reordering them there changes which one this tab edits.
