July 1, 2024 - Learner Accounts & Self-Service Learning History! 🎓 ​
We're excited to introduce Learner Accounts - a powerful new feature that empowers your course participants to take control of their educational journey!
Self-Service Account Creation ​
Participants can now create their own accounts (either during course registration by checking the "Create Account" option, or directly on our login page). This streamlined process uses secure email verification and automatically links existing course history.
Comprehensive Learning History Dashboard ​
Once logged in, learners have access to a complete view of their educational journey:
- All Courses: View every course they've registered for across all verified email addresses
- Completion Status: See which courses are completed, in progress, or pending
- Registration Dates: Track when they enrolled in each course
- Responsive Design: Works seamlessly on desktop and mobile devices
Detailed Course Information ​
Clicking on any course provides learners with:
- Full registration and completion details
- Credit tracking for each course component
- Certificate Downloads: Direct access to download certificates for completed courses
- Payment Receipts: Easy access to payment receipts for purchased courses
- Course Access: One-click access to course content
Benefits for Administrators ​
- Reduced Support Requests: Learners can self-serve certificate downloads and access their course history
- Improved Participant Engagement: Easy access to learning progress encourages continued participation
- Automatic Data Linking: Existing registrations are automatically connected to new accounts
- Enhanced Security: Robust authentication system with email verification
- Administrator Learning History: Administrators will see a new "My Learning History" option in the menubar, allowing them to view their own registration and completion history
Menu Reorganization ​
As part of this update, we've also reorganized the navigation menu to better accommodate the new learner-focused features. You'll notice that "Account Settings" has been renamed to "Organization Settings" and moved to a dropdown menu that appears when you click your name in the top right corner.
This update represents a significant step forward in providing learners with the tools they need to manage their education independently while reducing administrative overhead for course providers and sets the stage for many exciting future enhancements to the user experience.
